Picture a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde split between A Perfect Circle and Lil Peep — that contrast defines the Munich-based duo Bali White. Debuting with their self-titled EP in 2020, they built a distinctive style that refuses to sit inside any genre, ranging from emo trap and cloud rap to dream- and synth-pop, alternative rock and indie.
Ethereal synths, booming 808s and gritty guitar riffs meet intimate, melancholic vocals, with room for danceable synthwave and heavy breakdowns — heard on singles like HEARTBREAK and FIGMENTS OF YOUR MIND. In 2022 the latter featured as the title track of the Fireblue Films movie How To Create A Demon.
